D.C. man fatally shot Friday

A 53-year-old District man was fatally shot Friday afternoon, police said.

Authorities identified the man as Anthony Lynn Willford, of Southeast.

Police said that around noon Friday they were called to the 2300 block of Good Hope Road, SE to investigate a reported shooting. Willford, who was found suffering from gunshot wounds, was taken to an area hospital where he died, police said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at 202-727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIME. Anynonymous information also may be sent to DC Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.
