Man arrested in fatal D.C. stabbing
D.C. police have arrested a man in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man who was found on a street in Northwest on Friday.
Police said they have charged Samson Alemayhu, 48, with first-degree murder while armed. Alemayhu is accused of killing Assefaw Hagos.
Shortly after 2 a.m. Friday, officers from the 3rd District were flagged down by a person at Ninth and U streets NW.
The person directed officers to the sidewalk, where they found Hagos with a stab wound in the chest.
