Woman struck near Chevy Chase Circle

A woman in her 20s was hit by a car as she crossed a street at Western and Connecticut avenues in Northwest Washington, authorities said.
She was taken to a hospital about 8:30 a.m. with serious injuries, said Pete Piringer, a spokesman for DC Fire/EMS.
