Police investigate D.C. stabbing
D.C. police are investigating a Monday stabbing that killed a 36-year-old Southeast man.
Officers responded to the 1700 block of Trinidad Ave. NE at around 8:06 p.m. in response to a report of a stabbing, authorities said. They found an unconscious man suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound; he was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities believe the man was stabbed in the 1200 block of Simms Place NE, a few blocks north of where he was found. Police identified the man as Jermaine Jones, of the 2000 block of Alabama Ave. NE.
