Two shot in Southeast D.C.
D.C. police are hunting for a gunman who shot a man and a woman in Southeast D.C. early Monday, police said.
The pair came under gunfire in the 4500 block of Benning Road SE about 3 a.m., said Lt. Nick Bruel, a police spokesman.
One bullet pierced the woman’s arm. It was not clear where the man was hit, but police said he was possibly shot more than once. Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
Police described the suspect as an African American man in his 20s between 5’8” and 5’9” wearing faded blue jeans and a black t-shirt with tattoos on both arms.
