Two slain in D.C. on Monday

By Erica Johnston

Two people were slain Monday in separate incidents in the District, D.C. police said.

In one incident, a male believed to be an older teenager was shot about 8:45 p.m. in the 1300 block of Holbrook Street NE, police said. A second teenager was also shot in that incident.

Another man was killed in the 1200 block of 11th Street NW, just north of the downtown area, police said.

Little information was available about that killing, which police said occurred around 3:30 p.m. A police spokesman said said Monday night that he could not specify the cause of death.
