D.C. police investigating two fatal stabbings

D.C. Police are investigating two seemingly unrelated fatal stabbings that occurred late Thursday night and early Friday morning.

Michael Geoffrey McKoy, 38. was found stabbed dead around 2:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of V St. SE, where he lived, police said.

The second stabbing occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Friday in the 1900 block of 9th St NW.

Officer Eric Frost, a D.C. police spokesman, said more details about the incidents will be released later today.
