Donations sought for victim's funeral

Many Washington Post readers have asked how they can donate to the family of Jabrill Mara, the 20-year-old Fairfax County man who was found fatally wounded near Interstate 66 in Vienna last week. Mara's funeral is set for Friday, and his family is desperately in need of funds to pay for the services.
Mara lived with his mother, sister, girlfriend and two-year-old daughter in the Springfield area, and had taken a year off from Robert E. Lee High School after the baby was born to care for her full time. He then returned to high school, after his girlfriend graduated, earned his diploma, and was set to begin work full-time as an auto mechanic this week.
Virginia State Police have made no arrests in the case. Mara was found staggering along the eastbound Nutley Street onramp on Dec. 27, and died at Inova Fairfax Hospital on Dec. 29.
Donations may be sent to the victim's mother, Deborah Mara, at the following address:
7539 Tralee Woods Court
Springfield, Va. 22153
