Pedestrian killed in Friday Wheaton crash was Rockville woman
The pedestrian who died in a Friday morning traffic accident in Wheaton was a 49-year-old Rockville woman, Montgomery County police said Monday.
Shu Bing Huang, of the 12600 block of Viers Mill Road, was hit when, police say, a Nissan Versa driving east on Viers Mill passed through the Gridley Road intersection, veered to the right for unknown reasons.
The Nissan jumped a curb and, eventually, into a Dunkin' Donuts parking lot in the 4300 block of Randolph Road, where Shu Bing Huang was hit, according to police.
The driver of the Nissan was taken to a hospital and subsequently released, according to police.
Police continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call 301-840-2435.
