20 yrs. for man who took Md. girl, 11
A Texas trucker who took an 11-year-old Prince George's County girl from her home and had sex with her was sentenced Monday to 20 years in prison, federal authorities said.
Elmer Zelaya-Robles, 41, of Grand Prairie, Tex., a friend of the girl's family, picked her up on Feb. 13 and took her first to Virginia, then to Texas, according to court records.
Authorities said Zelaya-Robles called the girl's father and said he was in love with the child. Zelaya-Robles and the girl had talked on the phone in the months before.
The girl's parents reported her missing and Zelaya-Robles was stopped by police the night of Feb. 13 at a rest stop in Jackson, Tenn., authorities said. The girl was found in the sleeper area of his tractor-trailer.
Zelaya-Robles pleaded guilty to transporting the girl from Maryland to engage in sex.

ceefer66,
it is just as bad to say that Latino men are fond of young girls. that is racism pure and simple. it doesnt matter what the race, there are disturbed people in this world. stereotyping an entire race just because of a few nutjobs is absolutely unexceptable, no matter what color they are.

Imagine someone working for Montgomery County (Ride-On) being CONVICTED of child molestation in neighboring PG County, yet was not only given a slap on the wrist by PG, but allowed to keep his job w/ Ride-On (transporting kids & adults), yet the victims father, also a Ride-On employee, was terminated, for reasons including bringing charges against a fellow employee.
WHERE is the justice??
C'mon MAN!!
