Man's body removed from Frederick-area lake

The Frederick County Sheriff's Office is seeking help in identifying a body found in Lake Linganore near Frederick.

Cpl. Jennifer Bailey said Friday the remains are those of a white man in his early 20s who stood 5-foot-11 and weighed 148 pounds.

She says he had dark hair, brown eyes and a short military-style haircut. He was wearing a black baseball cap, dark jeans over Superman pajama bottoms and one wheat-colored work boot, size 91/2.

Authorities recovered the body from a dam spillway Thursday evening, a day after fishermen spotted it in the water.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore is performing an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
