Trial in Md. school killing continues
Prosecutors in Cumberland continue to present testimony in the first-degree murder trial of a former Frostburg State University student charged in the shotgun slaying of a student athlete and the wounding of another.
Prosecutors expect to rest Wednesday after presenting evidence from several witnesses, possibly including the woman at the center of a love triangle.
Twenty-one-year-old Tyrone Hall of Glen Burnie is accused of killing basketball player Brandon Carroll of Waldorf and wounding his 22-year-old teammate Ellis Hartridge of Washington outside Hall’s off-campus apartment.
The dispute was over former FSU student Patrice Britton, who had lived with Hartridge and dated Hall.
Hartridge says he wanted to fight Hall after Britton told him Hall had hit her in the face.
