Former Va. lawman pleads guilty to robbing bank three times
A former Chesapeake Sheriff's Office sergeant has pleaded guilty to robbing the same bank branch three times.
John M. Keane II faces at least 13 years in prison for firearm charges and as many as 10 life terms for robbery and other charges when he's sentenced in August.
Keane entered 13 guilty pleas at a hearing Friday.
He told Circuit Judge John Brown that he'd decided to plead guilty on his own and hadn't cut a plea deal.
