Richmond officers plan memorial ride to D.C.
Some Richmond police officers are hopping on bicycles to honor fellow officers who died in the line of duty.
The Bike for the Blue memorial ride starts at 6 a.m. Thursday at the state Capitol in Richmond.
The officers are scheduled to ride 117 miles north on U.S. Route 1 to the nation's capital where they'll meet other officers from across the country for a memorial ceremony.
It's the 15th year that Richmond officers are participating in the ride.
