Va. completes raid shooting inquest
Virginia State Police say the release of a federal search warrant completes the agency's investigation of the fatal police shooting of a Pagan's Motorcycle Club member during a raid.
State police spokesman Sgt. Thomas Molnar says the search warrant was the final piece of documentation. The results of the investigation will be sent to Dinwiddie Commonwealth's Attorney Lisa Caruso for final review.
The warrant was unsealed last week. According to the warrant, federal agents were seeking records of the Pagan's local chapter when they searched 45-year-old James Hicks Jr.'s home in Dinwiddie County on Oct. 6, 2009.
Authorities say Hicks was shot multiple times after he refused to drop a shotgun.
