Va. man charged in death of woman found on rural exit ramp
Virginia authorities say they've charged a Richmond man with the shooting death of a woman whose body was found on an interstate exit ramp in Dewitt.
Dinwiddie Commonwealth's Attorney Lisa Caruso said Tuesday that 32-year-old Darnell E. Taylor is charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in a felony.
Caruso says Taylor was arrested Monday, the same day investigators were able to identify the woman as 19-year-old Daisha N. Keeling. Her body was found March 19 on a rural Interstate 85 exit ramp. Authorities say Keeling was from Urbanna and had been shot several times.
Taylor remains in custody and court records indicate he's due back in court to have an attorney appointed April 12.
