What Do You Mean, We Play Again Sunday?

Capitals fans are still adjusting to the idea of seeing the postseason for the first time since 2002 (side note: do you think anyone cleaned out their locker Saturday night out of habit?).

The Caps host the Flyers on Friday and Sunday, but that won't stop fans from doing a little bit of Pittsburgh trash-talking (you know, just out of habit):

1Roadwarrior: You had to figure the d-----n Penquins would rest the Brat and tank yesterday's game in order to play a severely injured Ottawa team. That's the Pens for you - rotten to the core.
smartfan: @1Roadwarrior(pit fan): so stupid.pit wouldnt have played the caps either way win they play philly. Everyone wants to play the SENS. I would have tanked to. They will wave the white flag after 3 games. Carolina should have been in the playoffs instead of them.

Bleatings from a Caps Nut links to today's story and offers this take:

Interesting isn't how the Philadelphia media seems to regard a matchup with the Caps as an easier one than with the Penguin Scum? We thought the Flyers would matchup better with the Penguin Scum simply because the Caps can match Philadelphia's physical play better and the seven game winning streak that the Caps are riding into the playoffs.

On to the team the Caps are actually playing:

rjma: Checked the Flyers home page. What's up with the big "VENGENCE" on the front page. Who harmed them so much they need to take vengence? Or is that just a Philadelphia thing. Got my tix for Sunday. Sure hope there won't be any Flyers fans in my area. I'll tell them we have better Russians than they do.
isotla: To respond to the "vengence" reference to the Flyers website, it's been used this year to get revenge against last season's total collapse...it has nothing to do with anything else but marketing.
rjma: If that's their excuse of the "vengeance" motto, they need to get a new dictionary. It means retribution for some wrong committed against them. Who wronged them but themselves?
