Featured Commenter: O's Exec

Football madness continues soon, but in the meantime. . .

Meet Nationals Journal resident antagonist O's Exec, who reinforces my belief that we need an Orioles Insider (I'm talking to you, Marc):

Real name (optional): Mark Madara

Location: Sunny So-Cal suckas!

O's Exec, last seen terrorizing the NJ.

Occupation: Singer, dancer, character actor -- I'm a triple threat!

If you had to always use your real name, would you still comment?

Of course. I mean I'm using my real name right now aren't I? Although I am thinking of legally changing my name to Dr. Orioles Executive or Dr. O's Exec, for short.

How long have you been coming to the Nats Journal and how often do you read it/comment?

Whenever I'm bored and have some free time or whenever the Nats lose (so, currently I spend a lot of time there).

How do we know if it's O's Exec or an imposter?

How many games under .500 are the Nats again? Have any good crab cakes today? I love me some Boog's BBQ. The O's are the Feathery Fists of Fury.

Have you met anyone through the blog in person?

I've met Chief Clancy Wiggum who frequents Goff's Soccer Insider and La Canfora's Redskins Insider. Dude's a little more crazy and a bit more out there than I am. Fun to hang out with and catch a game with, nonetheless.

What other blogs (on washingtonpost.com or elsewhere) do you read?

Roch Around The Clock, Soccer Insider and ToolArmy. Yeah that's right, I've heard that Maynard, Danny, Adam, and Justin are all O's fans. (Or at least when it comes to rooting for one of the DC-area baseball teams)

Do you have your own blog?

Yeah right.

Have you ever fought in any epic comment battles?

I'm a lover not a fighter baby.

How long have you been a fan of the O's?

As long as I can remember. Luckily long-term memory loss isn't a problem for me so I'll say since I was like 4-5, somewhere around there. I grew up in Southern Maryland during a time when the O's were the only local MLB team to root for. The O's are still the only DC-Maryland area MLB team worth rooting for.

How do you think the team will finish this year?

World Series Champs. Yeah you read it right. How sweet it'll be.

What other teams do you root for?

'Skins, DCU, Caps, Bullets, and whoever the Nats are playing.

CHrIs LaRry's question: What would be your fantasy job related to the [O's]?

It'd have to be owner of the Orioles. I'm sure most O's fans would prefer me over the current ownership group. As owner I would make sure to broadcast all the O's games in HD on MASN and maybe a few for the Nats too. Gotta keep everyone happy. Plus as the owner I'd actually show up to watch a majority of the games.

Sombrero Guy's question: Who is your favorite (non-current) [Oriole] of all time?

Seriously? C'mon you think I'm gonna say like Devi Cruz, Luis Matos, or Craig Worthington? It's Cal Jr. hands down. As a kid and a fan of Cal nothing was better than having him pull me around a gymnasium by my t-shirt at a Ripken baseball clinic. I can still feel the touch of his hand on the back of my shirt. Memories........

NatsNut's question: How did you come up with your moniker?

I think it came about because I started coming to the blog to make sure the Orioles were well represented. There were a lot of false statements, misallegations, and half-truths being made in regards to the feathery fists of fury and I felt it was up to me to set the record straight. I wanted a moniker or "handle," if you will, to show that what I was posting was in tune with the highest of higher ups in the B&O Warehouse.

Ask and answer another question to add to this interview.

What's more painful to watch, a Nats game or "Jon and Kate Plus 8?" Nats hands down. I always look forward to seeing what those kooky sextuplets will do next.

Who should be the next featured commenter? Drop me a line.

O's Exec you're the man. Everyone always gives me sh-t for hating the Nats. They tell me that it's not like the Redskins-Ravens and that I can love the Orioles but still root for the Nationals.

You're the man, O's Exec, and a pioneer.

Go Orioles! Feel that magic!

We may have 11 losing seasons in a row, but at least we pay our rent (and our Dominican players)!

The guy is also a soccer fan. You run and kick a ball and then fake an injury.

Do real men like soccer?

Really. This is your featured commentator. A one-trick pony douchebag.

Are their any adults left at the Post or have they all taken the buyouts and been replaced with moron interns.

Just to be clear, this guy's a fan of the perennial 4th place Orioles and likes to hang out on a Nats blog, and make fun of how sorry the Nats are? Ok, got it.

as he never posted to the blog until this year.
