Diving returns to Banneker Pool

Who got it done: D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation
Time to fix: 7 days

Just in time for the current heatwave, the D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation has repaired one of the two broken diving boards that were frustrating swimmers at the Banneker Swimming Pool on Georgia Ave. in NW D.C.

Cannonball!

John A. Stokes, communications director for the department, said crews made the fix on Wednesday, June 16. The dive had been in disrepair since the end of last swim season. He said he was unsure whether the second diving board would also be repaired.
