DC Tax Scandal Guilty Plea
Ricardo Walters, a nephew of accused D.C. tax embezzler Harriette Walters, became the first defendant to admit wrongdoing in the massive fraud case, pleading guilty today in federal court in Maryland to charges punishable by up to 30 years in prison.
