Fenty Reappoints Inspector General
Mayor Adrian M. Fenty has reappointed Charles J. Willoughby as the Inspector General. The office conducts audits, inspections and investigations of District of Columbia agencies and operations. The term for the inspector general is six years and is confirmed by the District Council. Former Mayor Anthony Williams first appointed Willoughby to the post in 2005. Willoughby, who brought nearly 30 years of legal experience to the D.C. government, has a bachelor's degree in political science from Jamestown College in Jamestown, N.D. and law degree from Howard University School of Law.

Absurd. The consequence of having the largest tax fraud occur on your watch is reappointment for a six year term. Fenty is an absolute fool!

Well, lets see, the Mayor is a graduate of Howard Law and Willoughby is a graduate of Howard Law. That is what is called a Modus Operende in the Fenty Administration. I wonder if he is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity? (Fenty's Fraternity).
I think that under Williams the Inspector General did a fairly decent job, but has become very delicate with this Mayor. He seems almost 'afraid' to touch issues that may illuminate any deficiency of the Fenty Administration. It will be interesting to see that, with the new appointment for 6 years, he will become more aggressive in improving District inefficiency. I am doubtful, but, perhaps....
