A Busy Day in the District: Courts to Health Care

Marcia Davis

It's a big news day in the District. The city waits for the Supreme Court ruling on its gun ban case, which is expected this morning. But also, Mayor Adrian M. Fenty will be announcing the RAND recommendations on the city's health care. Millions of health care dollars at stake.

Fenty will be holding a news conference at 10:30 this morning with Dr. Pierre Vigilance, acting director for the Department of Health, Council member David A. Catania, and Dr. Nicole Lurie of the RAND Corporation. The news conference will be held at Unity Health Care at East of the River Center.

The mayor then has a noon press conference set at the John A. Wilson Building on the high court's ruling.

Watch this space throughout the day.
