D.C. Lawyer Wins Temporary Restraining Order Against His Firing
A District government attorney won a temporary restraining order in Superior Court today against his firing by Interim D.C. Attorney General Peter Nickles. The attorney, who is 60 years old, argued before Judge Ronald Wertheim that his firing was based at least in part on his age and that it violated personnel rules, according to an account provided to D.C. Wire by the union that represents the attorney. Wertheim said the attorney cannot be fired before June 30 and will hold another hearing on the matter, the union official said. The judge will hold a hearing tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. to hear the cases of seven other city attorneys who are also contesting their firings by Nickles.

Can anyone from The Post provide a good reason why the D.C. Wire logo/graphic shows more of a map of Virginia than it does of D.C.?
