The Pace Setter

A Monday morning feature in which D.C. Wire charts Mayor Adrian M. Fenty's quest for athletic glory.

The mayor took part in the Lawyers Have Heart 10k in Georgetown on Saturday, a race that benefits the American Heart Association. Fenty clocked in at 41 minutes, 21 seconds, a 6:40 per mile pace that was good for 110th place out of the 1,619 entrants. The 37-year-old was 38th out of 598 in his age group (35-39).

Race winner Steven Crane, 26, of Silver Spring finished in 31:21, a blazing 5:03 pace.
