D.C. Government: Customer Unfriendly?

Dealing with the D.C. government's Web site may be more trouble than it's worth.

(D.C. Wire thanks Post reader Mary Margaret, an spiritual Web master event organizer from Maryland, who sent us the screen shot. Margaret reports that she was using Google to try to find a phone number to reach Mayor Adrian M. Fenty's office to invite him to an event Sept. 11. The Wire has advised Margaret to call 311 in the future and leave the dangerous Web browsing to us.)

How about how Mayor Fenty could hurt us otherwise?

I don't see why the taxes in the District are so diggity high. No one answers the phone when you call a DC agency. Half of the employees don't even work. Where's my money going?
