Rhee Wants to Hear From You
D.C. Schools Chancellor Michelle A. Rhee, who has taken some heat from critics for not listening as closely as she might to the public, is starting a monthly series of meetings on aspects of education in the District.
The "Chancellor's Community Forum Series" will launch 5 p.m. Wednesday evening at DCPS offices, 825 North Capitol Street, in the 5th floor board room. The 90-minute sessions, which will provide opportunites for Q-and-A with Rhee, will be held on the last Wednesday of every month over the next year. Other locations around the city will be announced.
This month's topic will be "Student Achievement and the DC-CAS Tests," school officials said.
Those interested in child care or language interpretation services (Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Amharic, French or American Sign Language) are asked to RSVP to Jennifer Nguyen (202) 442-5191 or Jennifer.Nguyen@dc.gov.
