Gun Dealer "Bides" His Time
Gun registration got off to a slow start in the District yesterday. The police department had set up its process, but there was hardly a rush to register. One of the few people who showed was Dick Anthony Heller, the plaintiff in the U.S. Supreme Court case.
Things are going to move even slower when it comes to those interested in buying a gun, as reporter Michael Birnbaum writes. Gun dealer Charles Sykes Jr. is the man to see about a gun, but he's between licenses at the moment. "I have to bide my time," he told Birnbaum. "I'm a patient man."
