Scenes From the Nomination
DENVER -- After a week of keeping his distance from the rest of the District's delegation, Mayor Fenty joined them last night on the convention floor at Invesco Field about 30 minutes before Obama began his acceptance speech. Fenty sat at the rear of the city's section, which was on the far left of the stage, and at one point was handed a large American flag, which he waved after Obama finished. At the end of the night, the mayor and many delegates took a group picture, a rare show of unity after a rough week for interpersonal relations.
