Allen Shows How to Work the Polls

Former Council member Sandy Allen, who lost her Ward 8 seat to Marion Barry four years ago, uses a volunteer to show campaign workers how to treat voters at the polls. Allen is working for Barry's re-election campaign. Her demonstration took place yesterday at Matthew Memorial Baptist Church, where Barry held a gospel concert and pre-election day rally. The District primary is tomorrow. Barry is facing opponents Howard Brown, Braxton-Jones, Sandra Seegars and Charles Wilson.
