Ballpark Area Development Website Wins Award

D.C. Wire wanted to give a shout out to colleague Jacqueline Dupree, who yesterday won the 2008 Knight-Batten Citizen Media Award for her Website, jdland.com, which chronicles the redevelopment near Nationals Park. Dupree, who works at the Post as editor of the newsroom's Intranet site, keeps tabs on the redevelopment of near Southeast as a personal hobby since she lives near the ballpark. She's kept at it even after the stadium opened, and in the interest of full disclosure, we've leaned on her for her expertise for stories, and graphics, in the pages of the Post and the D.C. Extra over the years. The prize comes with $2,000, according to the news release.
