Norton Hosting Wall Street Bailout Hearing Tonight
D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will host a town hall meeting this evening entitled "The Bailout and the Economy: What Happened, What's Next, What it Means to You, D.C., and the USA."
Tonight's forum, which will be held in room 2168 of the Rayburn House Office Building, will feature Alice Rivlin, former director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and former chair of the D.C. Control Board.
The other speakers include Emma Coleman Jordan, a Georgetown law professor who specializes in financial institutions and commercial law; Ed Deserve, former chief financial officer of the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development; and D.C . Developer W. Chris Smith Jr., chairman and CEO of William C. Smith & Co.
