Fenty Announcing $50 Million in Health Grants from Tobacco Fund
Mayor Adrian M. Fenty and DOH Director Pierre N.D. Vigilance, along with Councilmember David Catania, are announcing the recipients of more than $50 million in grants to improve the primary and emergency care facilities this morning.
The money is from the city's tobacco settlement fund. The news conference will be underway shortly at the United Medical Center at 1310 Southern Avenue, SE.
