Fenty's Inaugural Concert Lineup Confirmed

Thought Mayor Adrian M. Fenty (D) had been wooing Kanye West and Mary J. Blige for this inaugural welcome concert Sunday, he ended up booking Fall Out Boy, T.I. and Young Jeezy, officials said. The event will be Sunday at the 9:30 Club at 815 V St. NW, with doors opening at 7 p.m. No word on how to get tickets or how much they'll cost, but the concert benefits the D.C. Public Education Fund, which Fenty established to raise private funds for the city's school system. We're hearing it is invite-only.

isn't it a little late to announce an invitation-only concert 2 1/2 days before the event takes place? as usual, fenty is riding by the seat of his pants

One of the greatest events/concerts ever!

to think they raised money for the schools?

From Usher to Wyclef to Fall Out Boy it doesnt get much better than what went on.
to think that a penny was raised for the schools is even greater.
God bless Fenty- if thats "riding seat of his pants"- I will take it any time.

We are all lucky to have a Mayor as great as Adrian Fenty--

Long Live Fenty!!!!!
