Norton Says Expect Hearings on Inauguration Mishaps
Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton said hearings will be planned to find out how folks got trapped in the Third Street Tunnel on Inauguration Day, as well as the several other problems that left some ticket-holders holding a useless ticket and a bunch of memories from one of the nation's most history-making moments.
Norton said in a statement today that District residents should report their Inauguration problems to the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC), and the Secret Service, which was the lead agency for the Inauguration at www.feedback@jccic.senate.gov.
"We've got to get to the bottom of the wreckage that spoiled the chance of a lifetime for thousands of visitors and Washingtonians," Norton said.
