Local GOP Backs Voting Rights
The DC Republican Committee is urging GOP senators to support voting rights in a letter the group says it has hand delivered to them.
"District Republicans are excited at the prospect of getting a vote in the House and as the District's Republican Party Chairman, I am proud that our local Party is active in achieving this milestone. We spent countless hours on the Hill educating and urging our fellow Republicans to support S. 160. Shortly after we met with Senator Susan Collins, she and other Republicans supported DC Voting Rights in the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs," committee chairman Robert Kabel said in a statement.
