Registration Starts for Rec Dept. Summer Camps
The D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation is now accepting registration for the city's summer camp programs.
The city will offer five two-week sessions between June 15th and August 21st, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and one eight-week session at Camp Riverview, a 217 wooded acre facility along the Potomac River near the Chesapeake Bay in Scotland, Md.
The cost of the camps are $100 per session for District residents and $150 for non-residents. The department also offers a scholarship rate for District residents who are eligible for $25 per child, per camp session. Applications are available online at summercamps.dc.gov or by contacting the DPR Camp Central office at (202) 671-0295.
All camping fees must be paid at the time of registration; acceptable payment forms are Visa, Mastercard and Discover, or money orders made payable to the D.C. Treasurer.
Checks or cash are not accepted.
