Thomas Hopes Barry Has Speedy Recovery
D.C. Council member Harry Thomas Jr. (D-Ward 5) said he hopes colleague Marion Barry (D-Ward 8), scheduled to have a kidney transplant today, has a speedy recovery.
"Councilmember Barry and I have close, personal relationship," he said in a news release. "He has been a family friend for many years."
"I look forward to Mr. Barry's return," he said. "The Wilson Building just isn't the same without him."
