Fenty's new paparazzo
Mayor Adrian M. Fenty has a new photographer to replace the recently fired Lateef Mangum, a longtime City Hall fixture who had documented the careers of Fenty's predecessors.
Ronald W. Thomas, a former Washington Post photographer, will now be shadowing the mayor. "For now," he said.
Thomas, who was shooting a mayoral presser this morning, said he worked at the Post years ago and has since worked for various city agencies, most recently at the Ofifice of Cable Television.
According to Wilson Building sources, Mangum's demands to have weekends free was a problem for Fenty who is known to participate in races and triathalons on Saturdays and Sundays.
Will Thomas work weekends?
"I work everyday," he said. "Seven days a week."

And who really cares about the mayor's photo ops? We need answers about budget and real issues, not his pics.

I guess the former photographer just wasn't good enough for "his highness."

Interesting that FenTOOL wants the press to capture him as he bikes and runs, but the taxpayers aren't entitled to know his whereabout when he leaves town on our dime.
