Darrell Darnell to White House
Darrell Darnell, who is the Director of Homeland Security and Emergency Management for the District, is leaving to take a position in the Obama administration, according to sources.
Darnell did not return an e-mail requesting comment.
Darnell continues a series of moves from local Washington to federal Washington, following city administrator Dan Tangherlini and chief technology officer Vivek Kundra who have posts in the Obama administration.

Interesting article, and reveals many of Darnell's finer qualities. One of my favorite points is: "Darnell, however, could not name a single alternative his office has come up with to prevent a repeat of the chaos that enveloped downtown for several hours on June 13", and yet now he's off to the White House?!?
Just another disappointing appointment to an already incompetent White House. I wonder what prize HE will win?
