A bumper booster for your favorite team
Want to cheer on your favorite D.C. team? Do it on a license plate.
Council members Kwame R. Brown (D-At Large) and Jack Evans (D-Ward 2) introduced legislation Tuesday that would establish license plates for the Redskins, Wizards, United, Capitals and Mystics.
The "TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION" would remain on the new plates.
Extra fees would be required: a one-time $25 fee to get the plate and $20 to renew biennially.
The balance of the license plate fees after the cost of production would go into the city's General Fund.
