Fenty taps D.C. Schools operations director for parks role
Jesus Agúirre, director of operations for D.C. Public Schools, will be the interim director of the Department of Parks and Recreation. He will replace Ximena Hartsock, whom Mayor Adrian M. Fenty will keep in his administration as an analyst in the city administrator's office.
The mayor announced the appointments at a news conference Wednesday at Bald Eagle Recreation Center in Southwest.

Huh? Who? What? him? Okay, the applicant pool is what, empty? Has DCPS become the quasi-new office of Employment Services? Apparently Kappa Alpha Psi...don't have too many brothers who are well-versed in Parks and Recreation...hmmmmmmmmm He might as well hired Tareq or Michaele at least we know they both have the stamina to be active LOL

The Hardy Meeting blog entry was mis-time stamped originally and when it was "fixed" is was re-dated to about 11am yesterday, Dec 1st. One has to scroll that far back or go to the archives or use the WaPo search engine to find it. Effectively, it was hidden from all but the most ardent searchers. See the News Channel 8 story here:
