Carlos Allen for mayor? Only on Facebook so far
Is the third White House gate-crasher headed for the Wilson Building now? Is he mounting a challenge to Mayor Adrian M. Fenty?
Those fliers -- Carlos Allen's face, now familiar from those "Larry King" and "Good Morning America" appearances, photoshopped in front of the Capitol with the slogan "Carlos Allen for DC Mayor" -- thus far don't appear to exist anywhere other than, well, Carlos Allen's Facebook page.
Asked about them, he said he's simply thinking about getting into the race -- "I really feel there are issues with the city" -- but thus far, no filing papers, no exploratory committee, no fundraising efforts, no petitions. Just that Facebook poster. Allen told us he's waiting to see whether voters seem interested in him pursuing this; he promised to let us know.
