'Teaching and Learning' meeting postponed

DCPS has postponed tonight's meeting at McKinley Technology High School to discuss its new "Teaching and Learning Framework." This from Family and Public Engagement chief Peggy O'Brien:

"We recognize that after all the snow, ongoing snow removal, and long weekend, coming out to a meeting tonight would be difficult for many. Please stay tuned for information about the rescheduling of this Teaching and Learning Meeting in Ward 5."

O'Brien encourages folks to attend the next scheduled session in Ward 3, 6:30- 8 p.m. Feb. 23 at Oyster-Adams, 2801 Calvert St. NW.

Spot checks with DCPS parents and administrators report uneven success in getting kids to school through the remnants of the snowstorms. I'd like to hear more about conditions on the ground. E-mail me at turqueb@washpost.com. Thanks.
