Wednesday's What You Need to Know, in Fewer Than 200 Words

Skins go Super Bowl or Bust and get some Cali love (registration), while three out of 12 ESPN experts pick them as division winners and an Eagles blogger fumes. (Dude, chill out, look at last year's ESPN picks. Gak.) (Skins 14th in the power rankings, btw.) (Oh look, Skins fans are also mad at ESPN.) Hartford says "the Redskins won't win anything until Daniel Snyder butts out," Fort Worth slots Washington third and Dallas first (shocker), while the NY Daily News offers an homage to the NFC East. Todd Collins and Jason Campbell both express uncertainty and acceptance, Phillip Daniels and Cornelius Griffin return, 6-foot-8 Todd Wade arrives and here's a mostly positive opus about Mister Snyder. The biggest news, for anyone who drafted Clinton Portis in the first round (guilty), is....unclear. Curses. (Rumor Mill feels good about Portis's chances (scroll down), while Wash Times feels bad about Shawn Springs's.)

Elsewhere, the Nats lose, phonetically (POO'-hohlz?), Mike O'Connor is back in the bigs, Ovechkin gets gobs of Canadian ink and declines the captaincy, the Hokies O-line is "not great", QB Cory Holt is playing WR, and the Wiz will visit lovely Richmond with GW's own Mike Hall in tow.

That was 199 words, btw. These don't count.
