What You Need to Know, Monday Afternoon
Ken Rosenthal has at least nine teams as possible Soriano suitors, including the Orioles. Stan McNeal thinks Soriano won't see 40/40 again. Melvin Mora's "losing mentality" comments hit the blogs, and Cris Carter has the Ravens winning the Super Bowl.
Pete Prisco says the Redskins season "is in big trouble." Here's another Bog stat: the Redskins have lost their first two regular season games 13 times; only twice did they go on to finish the season with a winning record. Both times, though, came under Joe Gibbs ('84, '89).
CFN college rankings: Va. Tech 11, Maryland 35, Navy 65, Virginia 69. Al Groh makes someone's list for something (a bad thing). UVA bloggers are unhappy, calling Groh "crack-addled," which seems unlikely, but you never know. And UVA fans start selling season tickets and calling Al Groh "an arrogant jerk."
