Gil's Video Game Sponsorship Becomes Official
First, let me repeat a comment I made in an earlier thread; I may have overstated Gil's comments about his missed free throws against the Cavs. He said the incident reminded him of a movie in which a kid controlled shots from the stands, not that he actually thought someone was controlling his shots from the stands. Apologies.
So there was a press conference today in NYC to announce Gil's sponsorship of the Final Boss Halo team. Read about it here. Gil will appear in a TV show about the video game circuit in November, and he promises the kids will become celebrities by then. And here's the description of the guys:
"The team is lead by human-highlight reel Walshy. Saiyan provides quick and adept support, while the awe-inspiring Ogre twins strike fear into even the toughest opponents through their versatile play style."
Sadly, Peter John Ramos will no longer be providing quick and adept support for the Wizards; he was released today.
Btw, read more about Gilbert and the Esquire story at FreeDarko (which finds logic in Gilbert's quirks and possible overreaction by the media), The Basketball Jones
(which is enthralled), Slam (which is also very happy) and the Wizznutzz (whose minds have, sadly, exploded).
