Casey Zimny Was in This Water Game?

That's what Jacqui Little sez, anyhow. Jacqui being Nick Rimando's wife and a former Washington Freedom player. Look, I actually wrote a long story about her once, a year after the WUSA folded. Funny how this game keeps intersecting with my life.

Anyhow, Jacqui and Nick just went out to the backyard for a while with the dogs, and some of the stalkers went up to the back fence to talk to them. (Nick can't be shot on his property; kind of a safe haven.) And Jacqui said that Casey Zimny, another former Freedom player, was CDilly in Water Wars. Weird.

At least four of the five stalkers are parked outside the Rimando residence now, plus various weird hangers-on and the tan Mazda guy. All these people are 100 percent out of their minds. They've spent the past month trading clothes with friends and siblings, trying to turn their targets' co-workers into double agents, driving all manner of borrowed cars, and, in general, being completely and nuttily paranoid.

"Every squirrel rustle in the leaves," one said.

"I would never do this again," another said.

The four stalkers are now trading war stories about past "kills" and trying to figure out who this guy in the tan Mazda is working for. All four claim that he's not working for them. One or more might be lying. They're talking about tying him up and putting him in one of their trunks. These various cars are just constantly circling the block here, and strange people are hanging out in the middle of the street. If one stalker drives around to the back of the Rimando house, at least one more immediately follows. I can't imagine what the neighbors are thinking.
