What You Need to Know, in Fewer Than 200 Words

The Mavs have their best game of the season in a "spanking" of the Wiz, who suffered their worst defeat of the season after disappearing in the second half. It's been a while since

they've started so poorly on the road, and a blogger blames the refs for last night. Also, Gil gets his blog t-shirts but can't get a video game system.

Manny Acta hires his coaching staff, including two former mentors, and they're old. Here's speculation on which free agents the Skins might buy next. Ovechkin is second in EC all-star voting, Man U fans discuss Freddy as Alexi Lalas worries about Freddy's destination and the NYT suggests this was a Nike initiative.

The Hoyas have been inept against zone defenses but should get well against their "little brother" tonight, Hampton loses a 12-point lead against George Mason, the Cavs got a TD that shouldn't have counted last week, Ralph describes Thanksgiving with the Friedgens (too many talking women?), and a former Skins QB is well-fed. Plus, DCU begins breaking up its collection of beautiful people.

What does this do to Alecko's list?
