Can Gilbert Dribble With His Feet?

Because Reader Dan D has a lot of time on his hands, he managed to discover Gilbert & Nash Company Inc., a Wisconsin business that has been "guiding industrial belts, paper machine felts and forming fabrics for over 100 years," and also that has been "advancing the technology of suction roll seals for paper making." It turns out the company was founded in 1898 "to promote the innovations of Bill Nash, a young paper machine foreman at the Gilbert Paper Company."

But no matter. It deserves a link on this momentous day. As does this Gilbert profile from DeafDC.com, also provided by Dan D, who really had nothing to do yesterday.

It would appear that Joseph "The Ominpresent Beret" White of the AP has already tried the most intelligent approach to previewing tonight's game: attempting to get Steve Nash to say funny things about Gilbert Arenas. Well, that failed.

"He doesn't do anything that's necessarily disrespectful," Nash said. "I think he plays the game with a great spirit and he certainly is his own person. I think everyone commends the great season he's having."

Yup, "commendable" is certainly the adjective that has most often been used this year. Anyhow, the more fruitful approach might be to attempt to get Gilbert to dribble a basketball with his feet, a la Nash, but Gilbert isn't down with pre-game stunts, and I can't imagine James Lang pulling this off, although it might make great television. But I probably need to think of another preview angle.

Pesky Canadians and their politeness.

Though Nash should get points for his additional soccer and hockey skills, and for never having an address in Tuscon.

Dan I think you need to leave gil's feet alone and look into the real pressing matter, which is why when I ride the bus does the promo shots have him posing with donuts? Whats up with that am I missing something? Does gil have a Duncan Donuts thing?

D Steinz is a man of his word, or at least a guy who checks his inbox regularly.

The takeover continues!

Looking forward to tonight's real state of the union.

Chris, the relevant search terms are "gilbert", "donuts", and "baby powder"--Google and the Bog will take care of the rest.
