Wizards Sign Mike Hall, Release James Lang

This from Ivan Carter....according to a league source, the Wizards will sign Foggy Bottom's own Mike Hall to a 10-day contract and will release James Lang, crushing my hopes and dreams of a James Lang blog but making GW fans very happy. You'll remember that Hall had a great preseason and was the last cut, essentially losing his spot to Lang. But with Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler both nursing injuries, Hall offers insurance at that 3 position.

The good news, as GW fans know, is that Mike Hall is an amazingly good quote and an amazing goofball. He will be restrained initially, because he's a pro, but if he ever becomes a secure member of this franchise, the locker room fun will only increase. But Jang-a-Lang will be missed. Mixed feelings, for sure.

And major props to GWHoops for being ahead of the game on this one.
